Alex Osborn, a partner in an ad agency, developed blue-skying strategies years back in 1941 to help his workers to come up with many ideas for their advertising business. To enable Blue skying to be effective, there are various rules to follow. Let’s go thru the steps of setting up a useful Blue-skying session. Get into tiny groups of less than 6 ( it was revealed to be better ) and select a leader and a recorder ( they could be the same person ). The leader must explain the focus subject and goals of the Blue skying session. In brief he / she must ensure that most are clear on the subject being explored. The leader should spell out the guidelines of a useful Blue-skying session.

Everybody performs a part to contribute. This is to stop wastage of dear time and the group members are way more galvanized to give their best, without delays. Low and behold they are working on consolidating their global bln buck advertising efforts with only 1 ad agency, vs 5 or 6. So if the ad agency does not do well, they get fired, but they also get paid their fee. They look for that one thing that sets one agency above the rest for their brand. Blue-skying is mostly done in a group for plain reasons. Hungry and knackered from a tedious day’s journey, they come to a tiny, bankrupted, medieval hamlet, where they decide to rest by the side of the road. Radio advertising. One of the travelers builds a tiny fire, on which he places a huge pot, while the other, having drawn water from the city well, fills the pot and places into the vessel a straightforward stone.
