In the promoting world, radio has earned the reputation of being the strange step-cousin. Much of that reputation comes from radio being tricky to trace. A good buddy of mine, who’s also a selling specialist but before that she sold radio for several years, has a concept about that. She is saying radio works on a subconscious or comatose level. Folk remember the ad, but not that they heard it on the radio. So, they have a tendency to credit a different medium for the ad, like the yellow pages. Yellow pages gets a lift while radio drops some points. And many promoting specialists will most likely tell you radio is a good medium to reach a local marketplace.
In addition, “offline” techniques have been shown to be pretty effective at driving traffic on the web. In truth, according to my mate, if the picture is defined enough, not merely will folk remember it better, but they will also think it seemed to be a print ad rather than a radio ad.
